Hello all District 75 UFT Members and all UFT Paraprofessionals Citywide!
This is an update from your fellow UFT Members organizing for the upcoming UFT Election, happening in May 2025. We are organizing under the name A Better Contract (ABC), and we want ALL members of UFT to be actively involved in this campaign with us.
On Tuesday, December 17, at 7pm, we will hold our first UFT Election Working Group for ALL District 75 UFT Members, as well as ALL UFT Paraprofessionals Citywide.
If you work in District 75 (paraprofessionals, teachers, related service providers, nurses, secretaries, psychologists, etc.), we need you at this meeting!
If you are a UFT Paraprofessional working anywhere in NYC (all districts), we need you at this meeting!
Tell your UFT colleagues, tell your UFT friends, share this email, and invite everyone to this meeting!
ABC (A Better Contract) is organizing to improve your pay (especially for PARAPROFESSIONALS – including but not limited to equitable longevity raises and Line of Duty Injury), protect and improve your healthcare, protect your pension/Fix Tier 6, improve your working conditions, and build a more active and responsive UFT. Let’s talk about what that would look like specifically for UFT Members working in District 75, as well as for all UFT Paraprofessionals Citywide (all districts).
This meeting will be an open discussion, and we want you to participate. We want you to become part of the solution and join ABC!
