Hello to all High School Division UFT Members,
This is an update from your fellow UFT Members organizing for the upcoming UFT Election, happening in May 2025.
We are organizing an election slate under the name A Better Contract (ABC), and we want ALL members of UFT to be actively involved in this campaign with us.
Now it’s time to get to work!
On Wednesday, December 18 at 7 pm, we will hold our first UFT Election Working Group for ALL High School members citywide. If you work in any capacity in a DOE high school, we need you at this meeting.
Tell your colleagues, tell your UFT-represented friends, and invite them to join us!

ABC (A Better Contract) is organizing to improve your pay (especially for PARAPROFESSIONALS), protect and improve your healthcare, protect your pension/fix Tier 6, improve your working conditions, and build a more active and responsive UFT.
Let’s talk about what that would look like specifically for UFT Members working in high schools.
This meeting will be an open discussion, and we want you to participate. We want you to become part of the solution and join ABC!
